We've all have thoughts about those who perished in the mini-sub exploring the Titanic wreckage. Each planned on returning and telling people about their adventure. Sadly, that will never be. Some had incredible wealth, which like all wealth, can't be taken when we leave here.
As I walked outside today and saw this rose, I thought about how nature gave it one chance to live. As days go by, it will fade and be forgotten. We're no different, although our human egos often trick us. The thing I value by observing nature is that it is what it is. Our opinion of it changes nothing. We can learn from its many "teachers" around us daily, or we can waste much of life being distracted from our fleeting chance to blossom before we fade and are forgotten.
Since we value love and service from others as the highest rungs on life's ladder, then we need to use our lives to love and serve others. Our time is brief. We will blossom only once. That's not just a metaphor. Let's not miss making our moment beautiful.
