There's a lot of heaviness in people's lives in this chapter of history. It can impact hope, health, and peace in homes and organizations. There's no way for any single one of us to devise and implement solutions to all we worry about. There's one thing we all CAN do to protect our health, both mental and physical. That one thing is to not miss seeing the beauty that's still all around us.
I volunteered with young people for many years. I received far more back than I ever put in. I loved seeing that sparkle in the eyes of the young. It always gave me hope, and still does. I'm sure many of you come into contact with youth on a regular basis, either as parents/relatives, teachers, church or organization leaders, etc.
As I was creating the attached image, I was again reminded of the uplifting feeling I often get when seeing kind youth, like the young lady photographed here. I have this image on my desktop this month. For whatever reason, the innocence and hope I see in her lifts my spirits. My hope is that it will lift yours as well.
Keep your eyes open for the beauty around you. No matter what else is going on, we still have sunrises and sunsets, changes of seasons, and most of all, special people in our lives who are only here for their allotted time. Don't miss the beauty of our todays. When appreciated as the fleeting gifts they are, we all have much to be grateful for, and encouraged by.
Peace, friends.....
