We often miss the incredible beauty walking around in our homes. The worlds of social media and entertainment lead us to believe that those "on screen" are more beautiful than the special people right in front of us every day. Sure, we all use media to "escape" a little now and then, but forget they're showing us a pretend, carefully crafted, version of themselves. It's make-believe. If we saw those people at home, without lighting and make-up, they'd look no different than our families.
The reason I create artwork of regular people is so they can see how incredibly beautiful they are. With the same photographic skills actors have access to, our family members explode with beauty and magic we typically only see on screen.
So, the next time a member of your family walks past in your house, treasure that beautiful person. Life is short. Don't miss their beauty by spending too much screen time in front of contrived fantasy. Time will pass either way. Appreciate those you love while still here. Let's not wish anyone back one day because we failed to share possible laughs, conversations, or simply time spent together. Your family is the most special art you'll ever own, and the most beautiful......
