I'm a believer in attitude. It's as important as any other quality. It determines how we view the world, the same world everyone else lives in as well. Having overcome major family obstacles, I've learned the importance of using difficult times to build character and learn life's biggest lesson: Everyone will experience opportunities and losses. Everyone. It's not personal. Knowing we're going to die is important knowledge. It provides the momentum to not waste a single day.
The wood in this picture is dead. It's heavily bearing down on the ground, much like our trials are on us. It hasn't stopped this new life from pushing through and reaching up for all its worth though, has it? That sprout is reaching for the sky, as should we!
As we face the fleeting gift of the new week, we have to answer this simple question: Will we let our problems crush us, or will we adopt the attitude of overcoming all obstacles in our path? The first produces a life of apathy and regret. The latter provides a full, rich life of enthusiasm, growth, and ability to leave a legacy of beauty, accomplishment, and service to others.
I know which way I'm going, and so do you. Let's be the 5% who pursue worthy goals to become all we can. Not some. ALL!
