Musicians Know This Truth

Having been a musician most of my life, I often experience the magic of entering flow with other musicians when playing. Flow means forgetting about yourself and completely committing your attention to what each other is doing, and melding energies to something above yourselves. In music, that thing is the song.

What's the "song" in your life? Is it treating patients in healthcare? Is it deeply understanding the needs of a customer before trying to sell something? Is it living in harmony with your spouse and children by shifting to family mode from self mode?

Truly successful and loved people constantly shift attentions away from self to a larger field of energy. Let's all do that in our work, and in our nation. It's only by entering flow with others that larger goals can ever be achieved.
